Welcome to St. Bernard's School I am Ms. Rebecca Marlowe and I have had the privilege of being the principal of St. Bernard's School since 1990. As Principal, I would like to welcome you to St. Bernard's School. We are a PreK-5 school of about 155 students located in the beautiful High Peaks area of the Adirondack Mountains in northern New York State.
Founded in 1922, St. Bernard's School has a rich tradition of providing quality Christian education to the children of Saranac Lake and the surrounding communities. While the majority of our students are Catholic, we welcome children of all faiths at St. Bernard's. The faculty and staff of St. Bernard's are dedicated to providing a wholistic education for each child based on the principles of Christian faith. Our goal is to enable each child to realize their own potential. The school strives to promote a sense of christian values, foster a high sense of self-esteem and self-worth, and challenge each student to grow in faith, respect and responsibility. Since a quality education is more than just elementary level academics, every student participates in art, music, physical education and computer lab each week. We also offer our students a variety of after school activites such as Drama Club, Rocket Club, Chorus, and Gymnastics. It is my hope that as you continue your virtual visit through our web site you too will discover some of the many wonderful things that our students, staff, and teachers do to weave the beautiful tapestry of education at St. Bernard's School. |
